{BLACKHAWK MINISTRIES} The Movement (High School Girls | Fully Known, Fully Loved

Blackhawk Ministries | Fully Known, Fully Loved | High School | February 9, 2024

If you follow me, you know my family is heavily involved in and have deep roots within our church, Blackhawk Ministries. So, when I was asked by the high school girls to photograph their upcoming event, I was overjoyed and beyond honored. Before I knew it, memories of my high school years in that same room flooded me… thinking back to those years when my faith was being rooted. All those church gatherings, Bible lessons, worship songs and leaders that poured into me! How can that have been over 20 years ago (eekkk, I’m old)?! It was a joy to photograph this event and see what God is doing in the High School ministry – this IS the next generation who will soon be “out in the real world” and on their own. It was amazing to see how God led the high school girl leadership team… it was obvious that the girls spent much time pouring their heart into this event and praying for all who attended. The night included: worship music, crafts, Bible teaching, speakers and yummy treats. The ice breaker was fun and the “stand for a sister” activity was eye-opening! I’m not sure the exact number of attendees BUT, the Holy Spirit filled the room and used the leadership team, worship leaders and speakers to touch their hearts and remind them that GOD knows them fully and loves them unlike any kind of earthly love. Our fulfilment only comes from Him, not by anyone or anything else on this earth! Most importantly the gospel was presented, and I pray that hearts were softened.

{I have a list of things that I would love to tell and encourage the next generation with, but, if I could only tell them one thing – keep your focus on God, in ALL things… keep Him your number one focus and your faith with grow and thrive. Life WILL bring a storm or two, but if you are rooted in Him and keep Him as your anchor, He will walk through it with you! (also, girls, do not settle – you are priceless. Wait for a godly man who you can grow old with. A godly man will treat you with respect and want your entire relationship to honor God too! And, if you have messed up – the God of the universe still LOVES you! Confess to Him and turn from that sin – because He died for you and me, we are made clean and there can be repair and relationship! Thank you, Jesus!)}

Here is a glimpse of the evening…
